FOI figures reveal sharp rise in electronic licence checking by fleets

New Freedom of Information statistics show that fleets are increasingly turning to electronic licence checking in the countdown to the abolition of the paper licence counterpart on 8 June.

The figures have been obtained by the ADLV (Association for Driving Licence Verification) and record the volume of licence checks made through members of the DVLA’s EDECS Electronic Driver Entitlement Checking Service, the vast majority of which are ADLV members.
