A THIEF took just seconds to strike on the second day of trading for a new business and stole an expensive bike of which there is only one in Bristol.

The distinctive black and orange Haibike FS SL Xduro electric bike, worth £2,850, was chained up outside Cyclelife – a new outlet that is part of Gardiner Haskins in the city centre.

The thief took between 10 and 15 seconds to use bolt croppers to steal it on Saturday, shortly before noon, and make a quick getaway on the powerful bike.
