FOI reveals Cheshire council pays company £28k to stream 10 cabinet meetings

Cheshire East Council is paying an outside company £28,720 this year to webstream 10 cabinet meetings so residents can see them live.

The figures were revealed following a freedom of information request submitted by the Chronicle after the council failed to respond to our initial request for the cost details.

The council maintains this is the most cost effective way of streaming and archiving its meetings.
