While most people were buying last-minute gifts or tucking into a roast turkey, Cheshire police made 97 arrests on Christmas Eve and Christmas day last year.

The Chronicle asked the force how many people were arrested on the two most important days in the season of goodwill in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
