The Mirror report:

A council has banned the word ‘Commie’ from its email system – but ‘fascist’ and ‘Nazi’ are acceptable.

Anyone using the shortened version of ‘Communist’ in an e-mail to Birmingham City Council will find their message blocked.

However, those wishing to abuse left-wing members of the city council could use other terms like ‘pinko’ , ‘red’, ‘Bolshevik’ or even ‘leftie’ and feel safe knowing the message should arrive in the victim’s inbox.
