RIVERSIDE Ice and Leisure centre has made a loss of more than £7 million in the past five years, it has been revealed.

The Chelmsford City Council-owned facility, which is due to undergo an extensive £25 million rebuild by February 2018, has haemorrhaged more than £1.4 million a year since 2010/11, with expenditure comfortably outweighing total income year-on-year.
