Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust forked out £6,325,792 for agency workers between April 2014 and March this year.

But bosses at the trust today said spending on agency staff had gone down from the previous year.

New figures, revealed by a Freedom of Information request, revealed agency staff clocked up a total of 139,228 hours during the period.
