FOI reveals missed hospital appointments cost Burton NHS Trust nearly £600k

PATIENTS missing appointments has cost the trust that runs Burton’s Queen’s Hospital nearly £600,000 during the past two years.

The figure, released to the Mail following the submission of a Freedom of Information request, showed that this equated to a total of 5,850 cases where people did not notify the hospital they would not be attending their appointment.
