FOI reveals mistakes by NHS 24 that put Scottish patients at risk

The revelations will come as another blow to under-fire Health Secretary Alex Neil who faced a vote of no confidence in the Scottish Parliament a matter of weeks ago.

A Freedom of Information request revealed NHS 24 received 170 complaints in the two years from April 2012, with 56 upheld after an investigation.

Of those, 25 were classified as “inappropriate outcome/referral/advice” – the most serious category of complaint.

Reported by the Scottish Sunday Express. You can read the full story here.
