MORE than 100 registered sex offenders were known to have been living in Halton recently.

Figures obtained by the Weekly News from Cheshire police illustrate that on April 1 this year, 59 people on the sex offenders register were living ‘in the community’ in Widnes.

In Runcorn, 58 were residing in the town on that date, one fewer than in Widnes.
