A chief inspector is among 43 police officers across Derbyshire to have failed a basic fitness test.

Another officer has taken the exam three times and still did not pass and almost half of those who failed work on foot patrol helping to protect the public.

In response, the force has said it provided ‘extra training’ for those that do not reach the required standard.
