FOI reveals MPs’ complaints about House of Commons’ food

A Freedom of Information request has revealed MPs’ complaints about the food served in parliament.

The Sun report:

OUT of touch MPs are moaning about the quality of food served in their highly-subsidised Parliament restaurants.

The list of grumbles includes “tough as old boots” roast beef and a hot dog that “looks and tastes like my leather handbag”.

The MPs also whined about over-seasoned soup, slow or brusque service, Victoria sponge that tasted “cheap”, “dry and dense” falafel and soggy poppadoms. Their gripes will shock taxpayers — because they pick up 75 PER CENT of the tab.
