The noisiest areas of Northampton have been revealed by a Freedom of Information request.

The information was revealed by the number of noise complaints for each area.

The noisiest neighbourhoods in Northampton for dogs, loud music and construction noise have been revealed, after new figures were released to the Chronicle & Echo.

The statistics, which have been released under the Freedom of Information Act, reveal a total of 1,645 noise complaints were made to Northampton Borough Council last year.

The noisiest neighbourhood in town in 2012 was the Castle ward, comprising most of the town centre’s pubs and clubs as well as most of The Mounts, where 292 complaints were made.
