PRISONERS in the North-east have racked up almost 3,000 complaints over the past five years, the Evening Express can reveal today.

Figures obtained under the Freedom of Information Act show that since 2009, prisoners at HMP Aberdeen and Peterhead made 2,953 complaints.

Topics of the complaints ranged from food and work, to privileges and recreation.
