Nearly £16m has been spent by councils in North Wales to transport pupils to schools in taxis since 2012.

Freedom of Information responses reveal that over £79m has been spent on taxis transporting pupils to and from schools in Wales during the last three years.

In North Wales, Conwy had the highest spend with £8.4m, followed by Wrexham with £4.8m and Anglesey with £2.7m.
