FOI reveals number of female BBC staff over 60 has dropped in last five years

After its high-profile sexism and ageism rows, you might think the BBC had learnt its lesson.

But nearly five years after Miriam O’Reilly won her landmark case against the Corporation, it appears to have become even more biased against older women.

In 2010, just 30 per cent of staff over the age of 60 were women. That figure has now slipped backwards to 27 per cent.
