THE number of patients waiting in emergency wards for more than 12 hours has doubled in a year, we can reveal today.
The lengthening waits in A&E were branded “obscene” by patients’ groups yesterday but the Government insisted a £50million investment plan shortened waiting times over the past six months.
The waiting times scandal is worst in the backyard of Health Secretary Alex Neil.
