Ofcom suffered more than one thousand attempted cyber attacks in October and November, a Freedom of Information (FoI) request has revealed.

The media regulator was hit by 1,658 attempted breaches over the two months, comprising 382 SQL injection attacks, 188 malware and virus threats and 1,088 phishing emails.

However, none of the attacks were successful, as Ofcom’s defences held up.
