Tube passengers at Islington stations were charged £4 million in maximum fares for incomplete journeys, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.
Oyster card users were charged £1,330,000 for incomplete journeys at King’s Cross, more than any other station.

Transport bosses have been accused of ripping off Oyster card users by millions of pounds at Islington stations.
Passengers were charged about £4million in maximum fares for incomplete journeys – when people fail to touch their cards in and out – at 20 Tube and train stations in the borough or on its boundaries, according to a freedom of information request submitted by councillors.
Cllr Greg Foxsmith, transport spokesman for Islington’s Lib Dems, said: “Times are tough and the last thing passengers need is to be fleeced for their journey.
