PLYMOUTH City Council has paid out more than £3million to people who have been injured on its land in the last two years, it has emerged.

A Freedom of Information Act request has revealed how the council paid £1,298,999 in public liability claims in the financial year 2013-14.

That figure then rose to a further £1,751,677 in the year 2014-15.
