A TEENAGER who had been struck by lightning in Derbyshire had to wait for 40 minutes for an ambulance according to new figures.

And a woman who had been sexually assaulted had to wait for three hours and 21 minutes for an ambulance.

The pair are among dozens of people in south Derbyshire kept waiting for assistance from East Midlands Ambulance Service in the past 12 months.
