Criminals are targeting the Midlands’ white van men – with a huge increase in the number of thefts reported to police.
Offences have more than doubled since 2012, according to West Midlands Police figures.
A Freedom of Information request to the force revealed that 375 vans were stolen in 2012, but 878 were taken between 2016 and April 2017 – a rise of 134 per cent.
