The Telegraph report:
University decanal reports – which list disciplinary offences and fines levied against scholars – have revealed dozens of cases in which students have been hit in the pocket for breaking rules.
The data – obtained through the Freedom of Information Act by The Oxford Student newspaper– show how one student was fined £30 for vomiting on Trinity College’s centuries-old quad, while another two students at Jesus College had to pay £60 to repair a framed picture they had thrown out of their dormitory.
In another incident, 10 students from Jesus were disciplined for raucous behaviour during a trip to Spain and forced to apologise.
